Harakeke, the flax of Aotearoa, is a living gift from the land an endless source of inspiration and creation. Its fibers weave stories through my hands, transforming into taonga precious treasures crafted to be cherished by all. In every twist and turn, I find joy in bringing nature’s art to life.
Some of my stone carvings arrive nestled in custom-crafted bags, each lined with sumptuous velvet to cradle and protect the treasured artwork within. Other woven creations take the form of kete beautiful, functional bags designed for daily use or simply to grace a space as unique decorative art. The true magic of Harakeke lies in its nature as wearable art, carrying with it the strength and resilience drawn from the fibers of the plant itself.
